Fat dissolving injections (DesoFace and DesoBody) are non-surgical treatments designed to target and break down stubborn fat pockets that resist diet and exercise. These injections work by liquifying fat cells, which are then naturally eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system.
How does it work?
The active ingredient in the injections disrupts the fat cell membrane, causing the fat to break down. The body then processes and flushes out the fat naturally via the lymphatic system. A course of 2–4 sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, is usually recommended for best results.
Who is a good candidate?
This treatment is ideal for healthy adults close to their target weight who want to reduce localised fat deposits — particularly in areas like the chin, abdomen, arms, or love handles. It is not a weight loss solution.
Pre-Procedure Preparations
Avoid alcohol, anti-inflammatories, and high-sodium foods 24 hours before treatment to reduce the chance of swelling or bruising. A light meal beforehand is advised.
Aftercare & Recovery
Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness may occur for 2–4 days. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 48 hours. Keep the area clean and follow any post-care instructions provided by your practitioner. Final results typically develop over 4–6 weeks.
